Humble Pinion Live @ HOME mix for download

Yeah, yesterday was one of those days where nothing was planned at HOME. Personally I love those days most, cuz it gives us the possibility to play around - musicwise. So we did a Lazy Sunday. Humble and me did those parties back in the 90s in RL as well, where we took our soundsystem, a crate of beer and lots of records to play on a field, having ppl around, just listening to music.

So we decided to do it yesterday, too and it was a very nice evening. First I played for like the first three hours a little bit of a freestyle set, no typical A8 sound (if there is any). Everything was in it: from Dubstep to Acid from Ambient to Hardcore. Looking at the ppl around I knew that won't be a problem at all. Anyway, ppl attending a Lazy Sunday know that everything can happen.

So after me Humble Pinion took over the decks, which was great, cuz I haven't heard him playing since we tag teamed on 1st of January. And wow - this set really blew off my mind. Talking to him afterwards he told me he was sooo unprepared. Maybe he should be - always.

Well in the end he had no luck at all. He was not able to receive the warm thank you he was supposed to get, because the ISP around here had some major problems and we both were suddenly offline, leaving the party guests alone. Sorry for that, blame it on our ISP. And suddenly u realize that this is just virtual.

Humble kept on playing for another 20 minutes, there was still a chance to get back online. So here we go, for your pleasure the whole Humble Pinion mix of yesterday for download:

He is one of the masters of chill, ambient or wutever u will call it. Who? Dr. Ribe Oh, of course.

It's a recording of his set played on April 14th while he was part of the Monday hates you crew playing at HOME. Even if it is 1.5 months ago I can remember that day. I wanted to go to bed and Ribe played one great song after the next. And wut a great idea to start his set with one of my all time favs: The Orb.

Do you people realize btw that you have the chance to listen to some of the finest DJs on this planet in SL? I wonder what the advantage of "going out" really is, besides spending a lot of moneys on drinks.

New mix available: DJ Dane Koba live @ HOMe on April 15th

Been a while since the last mix was uploaded, but this one is a true listening pearl. It has been recorded at HOME on the 15th of April, on our first Open Tuesday!

DJ Dane Koba came to play the last open spot that day at 6PM (which is 3 AM for me). Was very l8 for me and as the most of us I have a RL too, so this means I had to work next day. I was a nice guy, I thought, when I came up with the plan to listen for 15 minutes and then go to bed. But, he he, dammit Mr. Koba!!! He made me stay till he stopped playing: Wut a great set!

He played a style called San Francisco Acid House, which gives me only 6 entries on Google. I never heard it before either, but it shows u about the wide musical horizon of Dane.

...the Acid party is running fine and Frax is playing right now. Again SL is having some problems and we are not sure why it ever happens when Robot is playing. But we've recorded his mix, which was one of the greatest Acid House sets ever played
